Authority Services
The IDD Authority services strive to assess, monitor, provide crisis intervention and coordinate services for children and adults with developmental disabilities, intellectual developmental disabilities, related conditions, and pervasive developmental disorders such as Asperger’s and Autism. Individuals must be in need of two or more supports that need coordinating or linking exclusive of Service Coordination in order to be eligible for Service Coordination. These include medical, vocational, social, independent skills training, and other services and supports that promote a better quality of life for the individual.
Upon confirmation of eligibility for services, a Service Coordinator will be assigned to help you develop a person directed plan identifying your preferences for services. Service Coordination is assigned to the following programs:
Community First Choice – CFC
Texas Home Living – TxHmL Waiver
The parent of a minor, the individual, a court appointed legal guardian, or a primary caregiver can contact us at 903.586.0237 Monday through Friday to request services.
ACCESS Authority Services also maintain the HCS and TxHmL Interest lists for persons in Anderson and Cherokee Counties;
Enroll persons authorized by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) from Anderson and Cherokee Counties into the HCS and TxHmL programs;
Enroll persons from Anderson and Cherokee Counties requesting ICF-IID group home placement.
